Canned Bean Production Line

Designed for a wide range of bean-based canned products, this canned production line is suitable for baked beans in tomato sauce, sweet red beans, chickpeas, kidney beans, green beans, broad beans, black beans, and mixed beans.

From raw material washing and soaking, pre-cooking, and grading to accurate filling, seaming, high-temperature sterilization, and end-of-line packaging, the production line can be adjusted according to different bean processing requirements. One set of equipment can support product changeover for multiple bean products, helping customers build a wider product range with lower equipment investment.

Process
Raw Material Preparation and Sorting Chickpeas are first sorted to remove impurities and unqualified beans.
Soaking and Softening After sorting, the chickpeas are soaked for 12–24 hours to ensure proper softening for the next processing steps. Water temperature and water quality should be controlled during soaking to help maintain bean quality.
Cooking The soaked chickpeas enter the cooking equipment for heat treatment. Cooking time and temperature can be adjusted according to bean size and quality.
Dewatering Removes residual surface water from cooked beans prior to filling, ensuring precise dosing and consistent brine or sauce concentration.
Filling and Seaming After dewatering, the chickpeas are filled into cans together with seasoning liquid or brine. The process helps keep the beans evenly distributed in each can and maintains the proper liquid concentration. The cans are then sealed by a can seamer to prevent leakage.
Sterilization Sealed cans enter the sterilization equipment for high-temperature treatment. Water bath or steam sterilization can be used to ensure thorough sterilization while maintaining product taste and nutrition.
Cooling After sterilization, the cans are cooled to prevent excessive internal pressure caused by high temperature. Cooling can be done by cold water immersion or air cooling.
Labeling and Packaging Cooled cans are labeled by automatic equipment to ensure accurate production date, shelf life, and other information. The products are then packed for transportation and sales.
